Ashwin's savage post went viral on social media.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sivaramakrishnan claimed that Ashwin disconnected his calls and ignored his text messages as he tried extending his wishes to the off-spinner on the momentous occasion.
The story trended on social media as Ashwin was accused of disrespecting the former cricketer. On Tuesday (March 19), Ashwin finally reacted to those allegations in a hilarious way.
While responding to a parody account on X, Ashwin shared a picture of Sivaramakrishnan with a caption: “Call me please”.
Notably, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan hogged the limelight last year for his social media rant against Ravichandran Ashwin.
Sivaramakrishnan questioned Ashwin’s credentials as a spin bowler in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) countries. He also claimed that the pitches in India are doctored for Ashwin to succeed in Test matches.
The final Test in Dharamsala marked Ashwin’s 100th appearance in the traditional format. He became only the 14th Indian cricketer to achieve this feat.
