Virat Kohli will be soon seen in action in the T20I series against Afghanistan.
Indian cricket team’s batting superstar Virat Kohli recently shared a glimpse of his newly-built holiday home in Alibaug, a coastal town near Mumbai, ahead of his return to T20I action against Afghanistan.
Kohli highlighted that this home reflects his personality, as the former Indian skipper showcased his personal getaway on a 10,000-square-foot plot in a posh area in Alibaug.
The dashing right-hander, who was seen giving a tour to his fans of his holiday home in the viral video, mentioned that his idea of a break involves "slowing down" and escaping the hectic life of a professional athlete.
Well, the California Konkan-style four-bedroom villa featured in Architectural Digest boasts high ceilings, allowing natural light to fill the space through windows and glass walls.
This two-story villa, with a light tone, includes a cozy living room deliberately without a television. Kohli explained the reason behind that: it's a space for family conversations.
The villa also offers a Balinese sukabumi stone-clad temperature-controlled pool and jacuzzi, along with a fully customized kitchen. There is a lot of greenery around Kohli’s lavish villa.
As reported by India Today, Virat Kohli said in a video shared by Avas Wellness on Instagram: “The most interesting feature is the double-height cut-out ceiling in the living space, as it welcomes natural light. The more the light, the better the energy.”
Kohli continued, “The most important thing for me in a holiday home is the feeling you get where you enter. It has to make you absolutely relaxed, centered, peaceful, feeling at home away from home. Family, for me, is top priority. I know I am busy playing cricket, but I always want to just get back home as soon as possible. Work is a part of life that one needs to balance.”
The star cricketer added, “I think we get it wrong, the other way around a lot of times. We try to balance life with work. I am in that space now where work is a small part of my life, which I am trying to balance now and not the other way around.”
