Ambati Rayudu had played in IPL for Mumbai Indians from 2010-2017.
The ILT20 2024 will begin from January 19 in UAE and Ambati Rayudu will represent the MI Emirates franchise owned by Mumbai Indians in the tournament.

In order to make himself available for the ILT20, Rayudu has also confirmed that he has left the YSR Congress Party, which he had joined a few days ago. He joined the party in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy and Rajampeta Lok Sabha member P Mithun Reddy.
“This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time," the former cricketer said in a social media post.
Later on, Rayudu confirmed that he had done so, because he’ll be playing for MI Emirates and hence left politics for a while.
He posted: “I Ambati Rayudu will be representing the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILt20 from jan 20th in Dubai. Which requires me to be politically non affiliated whilst playing professional sport.”
