Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) explained BCCI's 'miscommunication' and an 'error'.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has mistakenly included Chetan Sakariya in the 'reported but not banned' list of seven bowlers for the suspected bowling action.
Now, Sakariya's inclusion in the 'reported but not banned' list appears to be an accidental error by the BCCI. The 25-year-old pacer was initially reported for a suspect action, but his name has now been removed from the list after realizing the mistake.
The Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) explained that a 'miscommunication' and an 'error' from the BCCI led to Sakariya being mistakenly added to the 'reported but not banned' players list.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, Chetan Sakariya’s name has been taken off the list of the players in the suspect bowling action. The SCA reached out to the BCCI, revealing that there was confusion with another bowler from South Zone who shares a similar name, Chetan.
Sakariya was mistakenly identified as the South Zone bowler on the list. The SCA said that all the IPL franchises have been informed about it, with the IPL 2024 auction scheduled for December 19.
SCA's president Jaydev Shah stated: “It was a sort of miscommunication and error, and Chetan has never been called, and he is not on that list. I understand that the name of a Karnataka bowler should have been there, and the IPL is addressing the issue. The franchises are also being duly informed.”
The 'reported but not banned' players are Tanush Kotian (Mumbai Cricket Association), Rohan Kunnummal (Kerala Cricket Association), Chirag Gandhi (Gujarat Cricket Association), Salman Nizar (Kerala Cricket Association), Saurabh Dubey (Vidarbha Cricket Association) and Arpit Guleria (Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association).
