Virat Kohli is the most-searched cricketer in Google’s 25-year history

Google completed 25 years and shared the most searched people and terms in his history.

Team India’s superstar batter Virat Kohli is officially the most searched cricketer in the history of Google’s 25-year existence. The search engine giant confirmed the same through a special video on its social media handle.

The Indian batting legend is often considered one of the greatest batters of the modern era as he has dominated all three formats of the game and also the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 518 international matches across formats, the right-handed batter has amassed 26,532 runs at an average of 54.36 with 80 hundreds and 138 half-centuries.  

He recently became the first batter in ODI history to score 50 centuries going past Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 tons. He also became the first batter to score more than 700 runs in a single edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup, when he made 765 runs in the recent CWC 2023.

On Monday night, December 11, Google shared a video featuring a comprehensive list of the most searched topics in its 25-year-long history. In this, the most searched cricketer turned out to be Virat Kohli.
