Rishabh Pant is likely to lead Delhi Capitals (DC) in the upcoming IPL 2024.
Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was seen hanging out with legendary MS Dhoni at an event in Mumbai, and a picture from the event went viral on social media.
The left-handed batter Pant frequently joins Dhoni, the former Indian captain and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, in various celebrations and birthday parties.
Pant is set to resume his role as the captain of the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2024 after one year, having been out of action since his horrific car accident in December 2022 near Dehradun.

Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2019, has been a mentor to Pant for a long time, offering guidance to the young player to get ready to lead DC again in the IPL 2024.
On the other hand, CSK recently retained Dhoni as captain for the upcoming IPL, which could be the legendary wicketkeeper-batter’s last season in the tournament. Notably, Dhoni is yet to resume practice after his knee surgery following the conclusion of the IPL 2023.
Dhoni was troubled by a serious knee injury throughout the IPL 2023, but the charismatic skipper managed to lead CSK to their fifth title in the tournament in Ahmedabad earlier this year.
Notably, the IPL 2024 mini-auction is scheduled to take place on December 19 in Dubai.
