Sri Lanka will host India in three ODIs and as many T20Is in July 2024. The series will be held right after the T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the United States from June 4 to June 30.
The Sri Lankan men’s team will kick off its 2024 international cricket calendar with a home series against Zimbabwe in January, comprising three ODIs and T20Is each.
It would be followed by an all-format series against Afghanistan at home in January and February, including one Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is.
Sri Lanka will then travel to Bangladesh for two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is before competing in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.
After playing India at home, Sri Lanka will fly to England for a three-match Test series. Subsequently, they will host New Zealand and West Indies from September to November.
At the end of the 2024 season, the Sri Lankan side will visit South Africa and New Zealand.
"We are heading into a highly exciting year with a lot of international cricket to be played, which augurs well for us, as our team will be engaged in competitive cricket year around," said Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.
"The 2024 calendar is expected to give our players a lot of playing opportunities, fans entertainment, and our sponsors great exposure,'' he added.
