Recently, a video went viral on social media, in which a fan can be heard expressing his adoration for Dhoni during a security check at an airport.
When Dhoni was passing through the security check, the ardent fan was heard shouting, “Mahi bhai, I love you.”
Even though he failed to catch the attention of India’s World Cup-winning captain initially, the fan was in no mood to give up as he shouted Dhoni’s name again.
As it turned out, Dhoni reacted by giving a pleasant smile while undergoing the metal detector security check.
Before the end of the video, the excited fan was also heard saying, “Haanth kaanp rahe hain mera ekdum (My hands are shaking).”
Widely regarded as one of India’s finest cricketers ever, MS Dhoni continues to feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The 42-year-old captained CSK to a record-equalling fifth IPL title earlier this year.
