Kuldeep Yadav also gained big after the India v West Indies ODI series.
India had defeated West Indies 2-1 in the three-match ODI series with Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill opening the innings in all three instances. Kishan hammered three half-centuries in three matches and was awarded the Player of the Series as well.
Shubman Gill, on the other hand, had scores of 7, 34, and 85 in the three ODIs, helping him move up in the ICC ODI players rankings.
Both players were rewarded with new career-high ratings on the rankings list for batters that was updated by the ICC on Wednesday, with Gill improving two places to fifth overall to be within touching distance of a pair of Pakistan players, after rising to 743 rating points.
Kishan, on the other hand, attained his career-best rating after jumping nine places to 36th overall, while Hardik Pandya improved 10 places to equal 71st following his efforts and also rose five places to 11th overall on the list for ODI all-rounders.
Kuldeep Yadav jumped four places to move to no. 10 in the ODI bowlers rankings thanks to his 7 wickets against West Indies, while Shardul Thakur was also rewarded as he reached the 40th spot.
In the T20I rankings, India newcomer Tilak Varma entered at no. 46 after a brilliant start to his career, while Kuldeep (up 36 places to 51st) is the biggest gainer.
