Robinson claimed 10 wickets from three Tests before a back spasm at Headingley sidelined him for last two games.
As it turned out, the Ben Stokes-led side played with positive intent right from the first ball of the series.
Although the Three Lions were at the receiving end of close defeats in the first two Tests, they continued with their fearless style to bounce back and level the five-match series 2-2.
On a personal front, however, England seamer Ollie Robinson said that the Ashes didn’t go as per his plan and he wants to make amends in the Test tour of India early next year.
“For me personally, it didn’t go exactly how I would have liked it to go – I came into the series with the foot injury and was a bit rusty,” Robinson wrote in his column for Wisden.
“And then I had the back spasm at Headingley as well. I’ve got a big training block now trying to get even better.”

“I think this series has been another good learner about my skills and my body,” Robinson said.
“I think India is going to be an even harder test. It’s about getting as fit and ready as I possibly can for that series.
“I just want to improve myself and be the best I can be between now and then,” he further stated.
England will travel to India for a five-match Test series, scheduled to be played from January 25 to March 11. Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala will stage the Test matches.
