Ruturaj Gaikwad, 26, missed the just-concluded World Test Championship final against Australia due to his wedding. He was initially picked in the Indian squad as a standby player but Yashasvi Jaiswal replaced him later.
Gaikwad recently played an instrumental role in CSK’s IPL 2023 triumph. The classy right-hander finished the season with 590 runs at an average of 42.14 and a strike rate of 147.50.
