Adidas replaces Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd, maker of Killer Jeans as India kit manufacturers from June onwards.
German sporting goods multinational Adidas has been signed as the new kit sponsor for the Indian cricket team. Adidas will replace Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd, maker of Killer Jeans, which came in as a stand-in sponsor after the then-sponsor Mobile Premier League Sports (MPL Sports) pulled out of the deal midway.
The current sponsor, Killer Jeans' contract will expire on May 31, post which the Adidas deal will take effect.
The contract, which runs through March 2028, will give Adidas exclusive rights for manufacturing kits across all formats of the game. Adidas will be the sole supplier for all match, training & travel wear for the BCCI- including the men’s, women’s and youth teams.
Starting June 2023, Team India will be seen in the new look for the very first time and will debut their new kit during the World Test Championship Final.
