The Indian team is likely to sport the new Adidas jersey in the WTC final.
Adidas will replace Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd, maker of Killer Jeans, which came in as interim sponsor last December after the then-sponsor MPL Sports opted out of the deal midway.
Taking to Twitter, Shah wrote: "I'm pleased to announce @BCCI's partnership with @adidas as a kit sponsor. We are committed to growing the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world's leading sportswear brands. Welcome aboard, @adidas".
The current sponsor, Killer Jeans, will have its contract expire on May 31, after which the Adidas deal will take over.
The BCCI is also on the hunt for a new primary sponsor after reports surfaced that Edu-tech giant Byju's, the current sponsor, was willing to end its deal before the contractual end in November 2023.
In the upcoming WTC final against Australia, the Indian team is likely to sport the new Adidas jersey. Before the ODI World Cup later this year, the Men in Blue are scheduled to play a number of ODIs, where the new coloured kit will be seen.
