Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has been continuously targeting the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ever since he was replaced by Najam Sethi as the PCB chairman.

After Sethi took over the charge as the new PCB chairman, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi was appointed the interim chief of selectors for the senior men's team, and now Raja has taken the reference of the legendary all-rounder to launch a fresh attack on the national board.

Raja said that Afridi should have done a bit of research before joining the Sethi-led PCB regime, and even he went on to suggest the former skipper resign from the post by saying that the latter should not work in such an environment at the moment.

Ramiz Raja was quoted as saying to Capital TV: “In my opinion, he shouldn't work in such an environment. I can only suggest this. If I have to join any institution, I'll do a bit of research. Who is the boss, who are his subordinates, will I be comfortable or not, will I get any reward, why do I want to work, what is the purpose?”

Notably, Raja was appointed as the PCB chairman by former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in September 2021. He was fired from the position last month following Pakistan’s embarrassing 0-3 loss in a home Test series against England.

Later, Sethi, who is known to be close to the current Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, replaced Raja as the new PCB chief.
