India A bagged the series 1-0 after winning the second unofficial Test by an innings and 123 runs.
Opting to bowl first, India A bundled out Bangladesh A for 252 in the first innings on the back of right-arm pacer Mukesh Kumar’s six-wicket haul (6/40).
In reply, the visitors rode on skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran’s 157 and half-centuries from Jayant Yadav (83), KS Bharat (77), Saurabh Kumar (55), Cheteshwar Pujara (52) and Navdeep Saini (50) to pile up a mammoth 562/9 (declared), taking a huge first-innings lead of 310 runs.
Batting in the second innings, the home team wilted under pressure and got bowled out for a paltry 187 in 79.5 overs. It was a listless batting performance as no one barring Shadman Islam (93*) managed to hit a half-century.
For India A, left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar starred with the ball, returning with remarkable bowling figures of 6/74 in 30 overs. Saurabh accounted for the dismissals of Mahmudul Hasan Joy (10), Mominul Haque (6), Shahadat Hossain (29), Sumon Khan (8), Hasan Murad (0), and Ashiqur Zaman (6).
While the first unofficial Test ended in a draw last week, India A won the second game to bag the series 1-0.
