Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard heaped praise on the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his incredible comeback to the international arena and sent a warning to Team India fans ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Notably, Pandya endured a tough time due to his fitness before his stunning comeback in the IPL 2022, where after working on his fitness, the all-rounder performed exceptionally well in the tournament and captained Gujarat Titans to a maiden trophy in their debut season.

Later, the Baroda star made a comeback to Team India, and now he is currently in Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022. Well, Pollard said that he is not really surprised with what Pandya has done in the IPL 2022 and for India over the past 6 months, saying it was the reward of his hard work.

Kieron Pollard told journalist Vimal Kumar in a video posted on the latter's YouTube channel: “Hardik is work in progress. He was going through a rough time in the last couple of months. Again, we have seen the rewards of his hard work.”

He added, “I know him for a couple of years and I understand how he thinks and operates. It's not surprising for me what he did in international cricket and for the Gujarat Titans.”

Meanwhile, praising Pandya, Pollard said that cricketers like him come "once in many years," but urged the fans and experts to let him enjoy his game and not burden him with expectations.

He signed off by saying, “All I want is the best for him on the cricket field. Let's just enjoy him. We tend to put them up on pedestal, and the moment they don't deliver, we drag them down. He's a brilliant cricketer. Cricketers like him come once in so many years. So again, I only wish him good luck.”
