Irish Olives outclass Sri Lankan Violets to register 5-wicket win in Match 10 of GPCL T20

Sri Lankan Violets were bowled out for a paltry 63 in 14.3 overs.

Irish Olives registered a crushing five-wicket victory over Sri Lankan Violets in the 10th match of the ongoing Global Power Cricket League (GPCL) T20 at Yamuna Sports Complex Cricket Ground, Delhi on Thursday (October 6).

Opting to bat first, Sri Lankan Violets were bowled out for a paltry 63 in 14.3 overs. It was a listless batting performance as no one even managed to touch the 30-run mark. Sajan was the top scorer with 21-ball 23.

CJ Walt starred with the ball for Irish Olives, claiming three wickets by conceding just seven runs in his four overs. John Gray (2-10) and George West (2-18) also returned with impressive figures, picking a couple of scalps each.

In reply, Scottish Mulberries rode on Lloyd Wynne’s unbeaten 25 off 19 balls to overhaul the target in 12.3 overs.

While Sajan managed to return with exceptional bowling figures of 2 for 13 in his four overs, it wasn’t quite good enough while defending a meagre total.
