Apart from England’s dominance, the match also hogged the headlines for a bizarre incident, involving umpire Aleem Dar.
During the sixth over of Pakistan’s innings, Haider Ali smashed a pull shot straight into the back thigh of Aleem Dar, who jumped and turned to get out of the way but couldn’t succeed.
Luckily for the leg-umpire, the injury wasn’t that serious and he managed to officiate in the rest of the game.

Coming to the match, Pakistan posted 169/6 on the board after being asked to bat first. Skipper Babar Azam was the top scorer for the hosts with 87 not out off 59 balls.
In reply, England rode on Philip Salt’s whirlwind 88 not out off 41 balls to get over the line with 33 deliveries to spare.
