Pakistan were crushed by 63 runs by England in the third T20I on Friday.
Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq has been targeted by the fans for his unusual remark on the hosts’ heavy defeat against England in the third T20I on Friday (September 23).
Pakistan made a strong comeback in the second T20I after suffering a massive defeat in the opening match of the ongoing seven-match T20I series, winning the match by 10 wickets to level the series in Karachi. However, Pakistan failed to keep the momentum and suffered a 63-run loss in the third T20I against England, as the touring side took a 2-1 lead in the ongoing T20I series.
Notably, England wreaked havoc on Pakistan’s batting line-up, as only Shan Masood (65*) and Khushdil Shah (29) could score against their strong bowling attack, but the hosts fell 63 runs short of the target.
After the match, Mushtaq compared the result of the third match between Pakistan and England to "day and night, summer and winter", which left many fans bemused and now the clip has been making the rounds on the internet. It led fans to slam the coach for his take on the loss on Twitter.
Saqlain Mushtaq said at the press conference: “Day and night, summer and winter, rains.. they are all-natural. Just like that, sport is also the same. Win and loss will be there. We need to accept it, and we do. It's natural, what can we do?”
