PAK v ENG 2022: England coach Richard Dawson injured during field drill; to miss tour and T20 World Cup

England team suffered an injury incident after their assistant coach Richard Dawson had to leave the field during a fielding drill in Karachi’s National Stadium on September 17, 2022, ahead of the 7-match T20I series in Pakistan.

As per a report by Pakistan Timez, the spokesman of the England cricket team said that Dawson suffered an injury while giving fielding practice to the team during the practice session. After the injury, Dawson was helped into the dressing room by two support staff members.

At that time, the spokesperson had said that it was decided to conduct a complete examination of Richard Dawson’s injury, only after that the nature of his injury will be fully known and a report will be released soon.

On September 20, a journalist from ESPNCricinfo tweeted that Richard Dawson had been ruled out of the Pakistan tour and also from the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 as well due to his injury.
