Anderson is already the first fast bowler to pick 600 plus Test wickets and third to play 150 plus Tests.
The veteran pacer already holds the record for most Test wickets (658) and most Tests (173) played for England before this match.
Anderson also has one of the longest careers for England given that he had made his debut in Tests in 2003 against Zimbabwe and is one of the few fast bowlers above the age of 40 to play Test cricket.
He is also one of the three pacers to play more than 150 Tests with Stuart Broad (158) and Jacques Kallis (166) being the other two.
Trent Boult hopes his Test career not over after giving up central contract
Before Anderson, Sachin Tendulkar held the record with 94 of his 200 Tests coming in India. Now only Stuart Broad has a realistic chance of playing 100 Tests in England as he has played 91 matches at home.
Stuart Broad had become only the 2nd fast bowler to pick up 100 Test wickets at a venue during the Lord's Test against South Africa which England lost. Anderson achieved the feat first and has 117 wickets at the Home of Cricket.
Here is the list of most Tests at home:
James Anderson - 100 Tests (174)
Sachin Tendulkar - 94 Tests (200)
Ricky Ponting - 92 Tests (168)
Stuart Broad - 91 Tests (158)
Alastair Cook - 89 Tests (161)
