Kohli is enduring an extended lean patch with the bat.
Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal shared his thoughts on talks around Virat Kohli. He said that the veteran batter's greatness is such that the bowlers hesitate to bowl to him when he crosses the 15-20 run mark.
Even though Kohli is not in the best of form lately, there’s no doubt about his ability as a player. The former Indian skipper has etched his name in almost every record book related to batting and once he regains his form, it’s fair to say that he’ll be difficult to stop.
It has been more than 1000 days since the right-hander has smashed a ton. He scored his last hundred in November 2019 in a Test match against Bangladesh.

Many have criticized him whereas some have backed him during this difficult phase. The 33-year-old is currently enjoying his time off the field and will return to action during the Asia Cup 2022.
Speaking in an interview with Star Sports, Yuzvendra Chahal said that bowlers hesitate to bowl to Kohli if he crosses 15-20 runs. Highlighting his records, the wrist-spinner said that the former Indian captain has set such high standards that people only think about his 100s.
“If he is there at the crease and has 15-20 runs behind him, I am telling you no bowler wants to bowl to him. If there is someone who has 50+ average in T20Is, he has been the Man Of The Tournament in two T20 World Cups, he has 70 hundreds across all formats.
“You just see his average across all formats, the problem is we just think about his 100s, we don't talk about those valuable contributions of 60-70 because of the standards he has set," Yuzvendra Chahal said.
Chahal also talked about his role in the side, saying that he has always gotten liberty as a bowler.
"My role has always been the same under different captains, they always use me as a wicket-taking bowler. For me, they are all same. I have gotten the liberty as a bowler. They always prefer on what I want to do. Sometimes Rohit bhaiya asks me this is the situation, what will you do? As a bowler, you know, you cannot be relaxed in any over," he said.
Chahal is also enjoying his rest time. He too will return to the squad during the Asia Cup 2022, starting August 27.
