Opening the innings, Iyer smashed 64 off 40 balls to script India’s massive 88-run victory and a 4-1 series win. As a result, he climbed six places to attain the 19th position in the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings for batters.
South Africa's Reeza Hendricks is another notable gainer, moving up two spots to reach 13th position with knocks of 74 and 42 in a 2-0 series win over Ireland. Ireland's Paul Stirling (up one place to 23rd) and New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell (up 23 places to 38th) have also advanced on the list for batters.
Indian spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav have made huge strides in the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings for bowlers. Bishnoi has leapfrogged 50 places to take 44th position with six wickets in two matches while Kuldeep has jumped 58 places to 87th with a three-wicket haul in the last match.
Proteas spinner Keshav Maharaj has moved up 10 spots to 18th on the bowler rankings, while his teammate Dwaine Pretorius jumped seven places to 26th on the list for all-rounders.
Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza has gained in all three lists of the ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings after a stunning display that has helped his team take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match series against Bangladesh.
Raza scored consecutive unbeaten centuries against Bangladesh and as a result, he jumped 10 spots to 29th on the batter rankings. He took four wickets in the two ODIs and is now 79th among bowlers and moved up seven places to fourth on the list of all-rounders.
