Saini bowled to his countrymate Washington Sundar as well.
In Kent’s second match, Saini helped his team rattle Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford amidst a rain-affected day. Lancashire's in-form openers Keaton Jennings and Luke Wells faced a tough examination from Kent’s pace duo of New Zealand’s Matt Henry and India’s Navdeep Saini as they got the ball to move in the air and off the pitch at high speeds.
Saini picked the first two wickets to falls as he had Keaton Jennings caught by Jack Leaning for 35 runs and then removed Wells, having him caught by Zak Crawley for 14. After a bit of break, Saini came back to remove Josh Bohannon for 21 runs.
There was a short period of play when Saini tested his fellow countryman Washington Sundar, who turned out for Lancashire in an exciting duel. Saini returned the figures of 3/45 in 11 overs.
However, rain played spoilsport as only 34.2 overs were possible with Lancashire finishing the first day on 112/4.
