Former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener has been named the head coach of the Durban franchise in Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) new franchise T20 league, which is scheduled to be held in January-February 2023.

According to a media release, the RPSG Group-owned Durban franchise signed up Klusener as the head coach for the inaugural edition of CSA’s new T20 league, where all six franchises have been bought by IPL team owners, including Mumbai Indians' Reliance Group.

Notably, the RPSG Group owns a franchise, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), in the IPL.

The new domestic T20 league will be run by CSA in partnership with SuperSport, the TV broadcaster.
