Suryakumar Yadav has already been ruled of the remaining IPL 15 season due to a forearm injury.
Surya, who has sustained a left forearm muscle injury, could miss a few games of next month's T20I series against South Africa. India are due to host South Africa in five T20Is from June 9 to 19, following the culmination of IPL 15 on May 29.
The batter picked up the injury during MI's match against Gujarat Titans on May 6. Subsequently, he was advised to take rest in consultation with the BCCI medical team.

According to sources in the BCCI, Suryakumar Yadav will be out of action for at least four weeks, a Cricbuzz report said.
However, the rest doesn’t necessarily mean that the cricketer will be completely out of the South Africa series.
As per the report, Surya has not left for the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after the detection of his injury and will undergo scans on Wednesday (May 11) in Mumbai.
Notably, Suryakumar Yadav had missed MI’s first two games this season owing to the hairline fracture he sustained on his thumb in the T20I series against the West Indies in February.
He featured in 8 matches this season, amassing 303 runs at an average of 43.29 with three half-centuries.
