Kambli got emotional while remembering the late Shane Warne.
Warne’s sudden demise sent shockwaves across the cricketing world, including the former India batter Vinod Kambli.
Speaking to ANI, Kambli got emotional and said that he will shave off his beard in Warne's name.
"I will shave off my beard tomorrow in his (Shane Warne) name," he stated
"I still remember the match where I hit 24 runs to him. I have played that video many times since yesterday on YouTube," Kambli added.
After those 24 runs, Vinod Kambli said Warne told him: "Don't hit me like this."
The ex-India cricketer termed Shane Warne as one of its kind and a good human being.
"No one can be like him in the present or future. He wasn't just a good player but also a good human being," Kambli said.
Shane Warne was widely regarded as the greatest spinner to have played the game. He represented Australia in 145 Tests, claiming 708 wickets at an average of 25.42 with 37 five-wicket hauls. He also picked up 293 wickets in 194 ODIs and was part of Australia’s triumphant 1999 World Cup team.
Following the international retirement, Warne showed his leadership credentials in the Indian Premier League (IPL), guiding Rajasthan Royals (RR) to the title in the inaugural season in 2008.
