Shane Warne, who represented Australia in 145 Tests and 194 ODIs, passed away on March 4.
Premier Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Friday (4th March) recalled Shane Warne’s word of praise for him in 2008.
In what was terrible news for every cricket lover, Australian spin wizard Shane Warne passed away on Friday at the age of 52 due to a suspected heart attack in Thailand. The former cricketer’s management stated that he was found unresponsive in his villa and failed to revive.
Shane Warne was arguably one of the best spinners the game has ever witnessed. The leg-spinner represented Australia for 15 years and his name always hogged over the headlines for his on and off-field antics.

He took over 1000 wickets across formats and is also the second-highest wicket-taker in the history of Test cricket with 708 scalps in 145 matches. Warne also bagged 293 ODI wickets in 194 matches and was part of Australia’s World Cup-winning team in 1999.
After the tragic news of his death, social media was flooded with rich tributes for the spin wizard. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who played alongside Warne in Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008 and 2009 also mourned the demise of spin legend.
"Absolutely shocked to hear about Shane Warne. A terrific statesman of our game. May God bless his soul and my condolences to his loved ones," Ravindra Jadeja Tweeted.
Replying to this, commentator Harsha Bhogle made Ravindra Jadeja recall when Shane Warne called him ‘rockstar’ in 2008. He said that the former Australian spinner loved the all-rounder and was very fond of him.
Jadeja said that he remember everything and he was deeply shocked by the sudden demise of Shane Warne.
