Kerala fast bowler Sreesanth will seemingly miss Kerala's remaining matches in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022 due to a serious injury and shared a photo of a friend wishing him well as he lies in a hospital bed.

He recently made his Ranji comeback against Meghalaya, picking 2 wickets and making 19 runs. However, the right-arm pacer seemingly got injured during the practice session and shared a message on his official Twitter account detailing the injury which has rendered him immobile on February 23.

He recently shared a photo of a friend wishing him well as he lies on a hospital bed, showing the seriousness of his leg injury, which will lead him to miss the next few matches of Ranji Trophy for Kerala.

The 39-year-old pacer had recently entered the IPL 2022 mega auction but failed to find a buyer despite keeping his base price at INR 50 lakhs.

In all Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs, and 10 T20Is for India, picking 87, 75, and 7 wickets respectively. He was also part of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup wins. He played for various teams in the IPL from 2008-to 2013.

He was later banned for life for his involvement in spot-fixing along with fellow Rajasthan Royals teammates Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila. His punishment was curtailed to seven years of ban, which expired in 2020. Since then, he has returned to India domestic cricket, playing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 and Vijay Hazare Trophy for Kerala.
