Bresnan was part of England's 2010 T20 World Cup winning team in West Indies.
The 36-year-old had made his professional cricket debut in 2003 and made his England international debut in 2006. In all he played in 213 First-class matches, 281 List-A games, and 191 T20 games in a career that spanned from 2003-2022. For England, Bresnan appeared in 23 Tests, 85 ODIs, and 34 T20I matches from 2006-2015.

Tim Bresnan made 575 runs and picked 72 wickets in Tests, made 879 runs and picked 109 wickets in ODIs and in T20Is, he made 216 runs and took 24 wickets for England. He was also part of England’s maiden T20 World Cup title, which they won by beating Australia in the 2010 T20 World Cup which was held in West Indies.

"The hunger and enthusiasm that I have for the game I love will never leave me, but whilst my head is willing to tackle the 2022 season, my body is not. I will always look back at my career with immense pride and it's been an absolute honor to represent Warwickshire, my home county and country. Growing up I never would have believed how lucky I was to play with and against some of the finest cricketers to grace the game.
I'm excited for my next chapter and am determined to throw everything into it, like I did on the cricket field for so many years," he added.
Furthermore, Bresnan helped the Warwickshire Bears win the County Championship last summer, having previously done so with home county Yorkshire in 2014 and 2015. He was an Ashes series-winner in both 2010-11 down under and at home in 2013.
He retires with 575 First-class wickets and 7128 runs with 7 centuries. He took 316 List-A wickets and made 3240 runs. Bresnan also picked 196 T20 wickets in his career.
