BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has reacted to the reports in media about him wanting to send a show-cause notice to former India captain Virat Kohli. Ganguly rubbished the reports around him and clarified that he didn't want to send a show-cause notice to India's ex-captain.

Ganguly told ANI that the reports are 'not true' after the news agency contacted him for a comment. Kohli is currently on South Africa tour with the Indian cricket team.

Earlier, the BCCI President had said that he spoke to Kohli regarding the leadership change adding, that he had requested him to also not give up the T20I captaincy.

But before departing to South Africa, Kohli contradicted Ganguly's statement and said no one requested him to not quit T20I captaincy. "When I communicated with the BCCI first about quitting T20I captaincy, I told them that this is my point of view, these are the reasons for my decision, it was received quite well.

"No one took offense, no one had any hesitation. No one told me that I should not leave the T20I captaincy," Kohli had said.

After the incident, Ganguly refused to comment on Kohli's statements in the recent press conference. "Let's not take this further, I have nothing to say," Ganguly had told the reporter.
