England lost the fifth and final Ashes Test by 146 runs in Hobart.
Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took a jibe at Michael Vaughan after England suffered a 146-run loss against Australia in the fifth Test to lose the Ashes 2021-22 by 4-0.
England yet again displayed a disappointing performance with the bat as they lost the fifth and final Test of Ashes 2021-22 at Hobart by a massive margin of 146 runs. Chasing the target of 271 runs, the Joe Root-led had a positive start to their innings as openers Rory Burns and Zack Crawley scored 68 runs for the opening partnership.
However, after that, they suffered a massive collapse and were bundled out for just 124 runs. The visitors lost the last 8 wickets for just 56 runs as Australia won the five-Test series by the margin of 4-0.
As England lost by 146 runs in the 5th Test, Wasim Jaffer hilariously trolled Michael Vaughan on Twitter by using a meme featuring Bollywood actor Aamir Khan from the old movie 'Andaz Aapna Aapna.'
“Hello @MichaelVaughan #Ashes,” Wasim Jaffer captioned the picture.
Replying to this, Michael Vaughan said that it’s been a long day for him. "Evening Wasim .. !! It’s been a long day,” Michael Vaughan responded.
Notably, both also engaged in the banter when India lost the Test series to South Africa. Vaughan took a jibe at Jaffer and checked if he was okay after the loss against the Proteas. The former Indian cricketer was quick to respond and reminded him that they are leading England 2-1 in the series, which was affected by COVID-19.
