India’s fab four, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, and Sachin Tendulkar, who served the nation together for 12 years as cricketers, are likely to contribute to Indian cricket again in different roles.

Well, ever since the arrival of the former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly, as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), former legendary cricketers have been roped in for various roles to continue strengthening Indian cricket, including Dravid as head coach and Laxman as NCA Head.

Ganguly played a key role in convincing Dravid and Laxman to take up the jobs as India’s head coach and NCA head, respectively, and how he planned to bring Tendulkar on board.

The BCCI President recently revealed that he might bring Tendulkar on board, but at the same time, he admitted that "conflict of interest" remains a big hurdle in making it happen.

He further said that there cannot be bigger news for Indian cricket than Tendulkar’s involvement in the team and he is keen to work things out, saying the legendary batter’s transition can be smooth only if someone doesn’t file a court case against him for breaching conflict of interest.

Ganguly told Boria Majumdar in his show “Backstage with Boria”: “Sachin is obviously a bit different. He doesn’t want to be involved in all this. I’m sure with Sachin’s involvement in Indian cricket in some way, it can’t be a piece of better news than that. In what way that obviously needs to be worked out.”

He signed off by saying, “Because there is too much of conflict all around. Rightly or wrongly, anything and everything you do you have the word ‘conflict’ keeps jumping out of the window, some of which I find really really unrealistic. So you have to see the best way to keep the best talent involved in the game. And at some stage, Sachin will also find a way to be involved in Indian cricket.”
