Pragyan Ojha, former Indian cricketer and current Indian Cricketers’ Association (ICA) representative on the IPL Governing Council, reacted to Virat Kohli’s exposing miscommunication with the BCCI on Wednesday (December 15).

In a press conference before Team India’s departure to South Africa on Thursday, December 16, Kohli made some shocking revelations over the captaincy changes, revealing he was never asked to stay as India’s T20I captain, contrary to Sourav Ganguly’s claims.

He also said that he wasn’t even informed beforehand of being removed as ODI captain earlier this month.

Kohli further revealed that he just got to know about the sacking just one and a half hours before the formal announcement of Rohit Sharma replacing him as ODI captain.

His statements have taken a toll on the reputation of BCCI President Ganguly and other board members, with the fans and cricket fraternities continuing to debate over the matter.

In response to the unnecessary controversy surrounding the captaincy change, Ojha has taken an indirect sly dig at Kohli for speaking out about the bare facts of the matter, saying that a good chef knows what to show and what not to show.

His social media post suggested that Kohli could have been careful with his words on his removal as ODI captain and availability for the ODI series against South Africa.

Ojha referred to Kohli as a chef, who has the responsibility of maintaining the reputation of the entire restaurant.

Ojha wrote on Twitter on Thursday: “A good chef knows what to show and what not to when he is trying to prepare a delicious dish! As the reputation of the kitchen and the restaurant is on him. #JustAThought.”
