BCB announced a 20-member Test squad for second Test on Tuesday (November 30).
Ace Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been declared fit and was named in Bangladesh’s 20-member squad for the second and final Test against Pakistan, starting on December 4.
Shakib suffered a hamstring injury during a T20 World Cup 2021 match against the West Indies and went on to miss the last couple of matches in the global event in the UAE, the three-match T20I series, and the first Test against Pakistan at home as well.
However, the all-rounder has now passed the fitness test on Tuesday (November 30) in Dhaka to return to Bangladesh’s Test side for the second and final Test against Pakistan.
Mohammad Naim Sheikh was handed a maiden call-up to the Bangladesh Test side for the final Test against Pakistan to be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka from December 4-8.
Apart from Shakib, Taskin Ahmed, who injured his finger during the third T20I against Pakistan on November 22 and missed the first Test, also returned to the Bangladesh squad for the second and final Test against Pakistan, starting on Saturday in Dhaka.
