New Indian team head coach Rahul Dravid has reportedly decided to have a word with the BCCI brass about the player fatigue in a bio-bubble era as it was cited as one of the primary reasons behind the Indian team's premature exit from T20 World Cup 2021.

Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Shastri had talked about the constant life in bio-bubble leading to mental and physical fatigue as Indian players have been in bubbles since August this year.

As per a report in Indian Express, Dravid had brought the fatigue issue in front of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) earlier this month as he had appeared for the head coach's job. He is now set to play a big role in the subject of players' rotation depending upon their workload in coordination with BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Thus far, the matter of players' rotation, rest, and workload management has purely lied in the hands of selectors. But after several complaints of bubble fatigue, coach Dravid is set to take over the process of the players being rested before the selectors announce the squad for different cricketing assignments.

The BCCI will decide on which player needs to be rested depending on how much cricket is being played. We are aware of the fatigue issue. The player who has been rested will get his place back in the team even if the replacement does well,a BCCI official was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

The ultimate objective of the process is to avoid another T20 World Cup-like scenario. With the aim being to have players both mentally and physically fresh for important assignments, the management of their workload will be one of the most in-focus topics for the BCCI in the next 12 months or so.
