Virat Kohli’s wax statue unveiled in Madame Tussauds Museum in Dubai

Kohli also has wax statues of him in Delhi and London made by Madame Tussauds.

The world-famous Madame Tussauds wax museum of London opened its first outpost in Dubai for the upcoming Expo 2020 and unveiled a wax statue of none other than India cricket team captain Virat Kohli.

The Indian captain, who is easily one of the most popular cricketers in the world, is currently on national duty for the T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE. The picture of the wax statue surfaced on social space and since has gone viral.

His statue is wearing the nostalgic 1992 World Cup design jersey that the Indian team has been rocking since November of 2020.

This is Virat Kohli’s second wax statue by Madame Tussauds museum as they had earlier unveiled Kohli’s first wax statue in 2018 in the Delhi museum, his second wax statue was revealed in London during the 2019 World Cup in England.

Apart from Kohli, the Dubai museum also has sculptures of The Queen of England, former American President Donald Trump, footballer David Beckham, action star Jackie Chan, footballer Lionel Messi,  and actor Tom Cruise amongst others.

India recently started its T20 World Cup 2021 campaign with a victory over England in their first warmup match in Dubai’s ICC academy ground. They will face off against Pakistan on Sunday, October 24 in their first T20 WC match.
