England cricket team is all set to tour West Indies for five-match T20I series along with three-match Test series in 2022.

The T20I series between the nations will be played from January 22nd to 30th in Barbados. While the three-Test series for the newly created Richards-Botham Trophy, which is created in honor of Sir Vivian Richards and Sir Ian Botham, will be played from 8th March to 28th March.

Releasing an official statement, England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed the development and revealed the reason behind the newly created Richards-Botham Trophy.

"Following West Indies' white-ball tour of India in February 2022, the West Indies will welcome England back to the region for a three-match Test Series to compete for the newly created Richards-Botham Trophy.

“This new trophy honors two legends of cricket, Lord Ian Botham and Sir Vivian Richards, whose friendship and on-field heroics became synonymous with some of their respective teams greatest Test match moments," ECB said in an official statement.
