As per the reports Rahul Dravid will the head coach of team India till ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan and former India opener Wasim Jaffer expressed delight in their unique manner to the reports suggesting that Rahul Dravid has agreed to be the next head coach of the Indian cricket team.
Team India’s current head coach Ravi Shastri’s tenure is ending after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and it is learned that former Indian cricketer has opted against extending his contract.

In the latest development, as per the media reports, it was learnt that Rahul Dravid has agreed to be the next head coach of Team India and will take over after the ICC event.
The reports have left many fans and former players being elated in joy. Michael Vaughan, who is very active on Twitter, also reacted to reports, saying that if Rahul Dravid will be the next Indian coach, other cricketing nations should beware of it.
"If it's true Rahul Dravid is to be the next Indian coach I think the rest of the world better beware... !" Micheal Vaughan Tweeted.
Reacting to the same, Ranji trophy legend Wasim Jaffer was once again at his comical best. He quipped that the overnight change of reports could only have been possible because of 'Lord' Shardul Thakur's birthday wish.

"Till yesterday news reports were saying Rahul Dravid was going to stay at the NCA. Yet early morning news broke of him becoming India coach. So what happened around midnight? My best guess is Lord Shardul blew candles on his birthday cake wishing to be coached by Rahul bhai.” Wasim Jaffer Tweeted.
Notably, Shardul Thakur celebrated his 30th birthday in the Chennai Super Kings camp. His birthday celebrations were doubled as his team also won the IPL 2021.
Rahul Dravid coached Team India when they toured Sri Lanka earlier this year. If he becomes the next head coach then it will be a massive boost for Team India considering his vast experience and knowledge of the game.
