Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja’s tenure didn’t get off to a good start as New Zealand and England canceled their tours to Pakistan with the Kiwis returning back home via Dubai on the next day after the first ODI was supposed to be played in Rawalpindi.

This led to England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) canceling their men’s and women’s team's tours to Pakistan citing security concerns in the country. Ramiz Raja, however, told the Senate on Thursday, October 7, 2021, that the Blackcaps cricket board is currently working on rescheduling the tour.

Meanwhile, a faux pas was recently committed from Ramiz Raja's Twitter account recently as a tweet regarding the news of ECB chief Ian Watmore stepping down with immediate effect was posted on his account.

Breaking: ECB chief has resigned,” the tweet on Ramiz's account read.

However, the tweet was later deleted and Ramiz posted a clarification saying, “The earlier tweet was erroneously put on my Twitter account. Apologies.”
