Indian captain Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen of the current generation with 70 international centuries to his name. His way of playing and training is an inspiration for an entire generation of sportspersons.

India men's Hockey team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, who was part of the Olympic team that won the bronze medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics to end India’s 41-year medal barren, was all praises for Virat Kohli. He highlighted Kohli’s intensity irrespective of the opposition.

"Virat Kohli is really good. He is a person who tries to play each ball perfectly. It doesn't matter if he is playing Bangladesh or Australia, he will give his best shot. That's the best thing you can learn," Sreejesh said while speaking to Olympics.com.

Sreejesh played an important role in India’s medal run at the Olympics. He saved an important penalty corner in the dying seconds of the game against Germany in the bronze medal match to hand India the win.

When asked if the save was his most important save of his life, he agreed saying it was the biggest day of his life and that there was no feeling like winning an Olympic medal.

"Was it the most important save in my career? Umm, you can say that now. That save has its own importance. Because an Olympic medal is the biggest medal that one can win. That save helped me to win the medal and it is the biggest day of my life.

"It is a different feeling altogether. I have waited for this moment as a fan and as a player for far too long. And finally, when you get to touch that medal it is going to be different. I am still on cloud nine," he added.
