Actor Siddharth Shukla passes away at 40; Indian cricket fraternity condoles his demise

Siddharth Shukla was famous for his role in Baalika Vadhu and winning Big Boss 13.

September 2nd, 2021 brought a piece of shocking and sad news for Indian movie and TV industry fans as they received the information of the demise of actor Siddharth Shukla, known for his work in both mediums. He was 40 years old.

Born on 12 December 1980 in Mumbai to Ashok Shukla and Rita Shukla, Siddharth’s family has roots in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh.

Siddharth Shukla became a household name for his role as Shivraj Shekhar in the TV drama ‘Baalika Vadhu’ in 2012. In 2014, he made his Bollywood big-screen debut in the Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan starrer Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.  

He then participated in various reality shows including Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, won Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, and then made splashes by winning the Big Boss season 13. His most recent appearance on screen came on the OTT platform for ALT Balaji in the romance web series Broken But Beautiful 3.

Unfortunately, he suffered a massive heart attack, as per news reports, on the morning of September 2nd at his home in Mumbai and was declared dead on arrival at Cooper Hospital.  

His demise comes as a shock, especially as it happened one year after Bollywood lost the talented Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. Everyone from the movie, TV and other entertainment industry was shattered at the news of Shukla's death.

Even the cricket fraternity was devastated at the loss of talented Siddharth Shukla and posted their condolences on Twitter.
