Archer underwent an elbow surgery earlier this year.
A British media outlet had reported that the pacer’s entire cricket summer is in jeopardy. The report suggested that Archer could miss the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE and the Ashes 2021-22 after a setback in recovering from the elbow surgery that was done on 21 May.
According to a report in Mirror Sport (UK), the 26-year-old fast bowler is said to "meet specialists in the next 48 hours as Archer is struggling to regain his fitness. The issues in his joint are more severe than had been anticipated and could lead to further surgery".

Soon after the report reached Archer, the 26-year old took to Twitter and ridiculed the rumors.
"You guys spoke to me?" Jofra Archer tweeted accompanied by five laugh emojis.
Archer has not been selected for the first two matches of India Test series that start on 4 August.
Archer made a solitary appearance for Sussex in their final group match of the Vitality T20 Blast on 18 July. He seemed uncomfortable and it was evident that he needed more time for recovery. He withdrew from The Hundred where he was supposed to represent Southern Brave.
