England all-rounder Ben Stokes has prioritized his mental health as he announced an "indefinite" break from all forms of cricket. Initially, Stokes will not feature in the upcoming Test series against India and he is also expected to miss the T20 World Cup 2021.

Stokes' decision to take care of his mental health has been backed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Even the cricket fraternity came in his support and acknowledged that the hectic cricket schedule in the pandemic can easily take a toll mentally.

India's Dinesh Karthik posted a tweet and recalled talking about mental health with his buddy Abhinav Mukund. India captain Virat Kohli has also addressed the issue.

"Omg, didn't see that coming. I remember my best friend @mukundabhinav speak about it. Recently @imVkohli spoke about this being something very real in covid times Quarantining and bubble life isn't easy. I promise you. Looks easy because of the luxury, but the battle is within (sic)," he wrote.

Karthik is currently in the United Kingdom as a part of SkySports' commentary panel. He started the UK tour with the ICC World Test Championship, and later continued the commentary duties during England's series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Now he is part of The Hundred tournament before England's Test series against India.
