After losing the ODI series 0-3 to an inexperienced English side, the Pakistan team will be hoping to turn things around in the upcoming three-match T20I series slated to begin from Friday (July 16), at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

While talking in a virtual press conference, the Pakistan leg-spinner and vice-captain Shadab Khan revealed the team’s desire of making a strong comeback.

T20 is a different format and we have a different team. Our senior players like Hafeez and Imad Wasim have returned to the side. Most players in the team have recently featured in the PSL. So we have played a good amount of T20 cricket and hopefully, you will see a good series,” Khan said.

The 22-year-old is making a comeback after an injury and did not have a great ODI series as he picked just 3 wickets against Ben Stokes and Co. but the leggie is looking forward to the T20Is to make a comeback.

ENG v PAK 2021: England T20Is crucial; good show will be a huge boost to our confidence before T20 World Cup - Hafeez

I am making a comeback after injury. My recent performance was not good, but I feel I am in good rhythm lately and looking forward to contributing for the team in batting and bowling departments,” Shadab said.

Overall, out of the 18 T20Is played between the two sides, Pakistan have won five games, England have won 12 matches while one match was abandoned due to rain.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who is currently the top-ranked batsman in the ICC T20I batting rankings, will be looking to continue from his performance in the third ODI at Edgbaston where he scored a scintillating 158 off 139.

The Men in Green will be hoping for the veteran Mohammad Hafeez to get some runs as the all-rounder has featured in 12 matches against England scoring 289 runs at 28.90 which included two half-centuries with a best of 86 not out and a strike-rate of 127.31.
