Andre Russell could hit only one six in the final over off speedster Mitchell Starc.
Australia pacer Mitchell Starc defended 10 runs in the final over of the fourth T20I against West Indies to secure their first win of the series. West Indies needed 11 runs to win the match and with Andre Russell on strike, it looked like an easy task.
Starc wasn't in very good form this series as he picked up only one wicket in the last three matches. In the first and second T20Is, he went for 0/40 and 0/49, respectively.
The speedster did manage better figures in the third T20I with 1/15 but the result for Australia remained the same in all three T20Is. They won the fourth T20I after Starc bowled five dots in the final over of the match.

Russell managed to connect the ball multiple times but the deliveries were so well executed by Starc that he couldn't hit it over the boundary. The Caribbean batsman smashed only one six in the over which came off the last delivery, but it was too late.
Starc once again remained wicket-less in the game but his effort in the final over turned out to be match-winning. Australia won the match by 4 runs after three consecutive defeats.

In the penultimate over bowled by Riley Meredith, West Indies collected 25 runs. Fabian Allen got out on the last delivery after hitting three sixes consecutively. Russell had smashed a six off the first delivery of the over.
“We knew that if Mitchell Starc executes he’s as good as anyone in the world,” Australia captain Aaron Finch said after the match. “He's done it for the best part of 10 years, so we had a lot of faith in him. He's got a lot of faith in himself. Just great to get across the line.”
