After a fantastic Day 3 in the second Test match at Edgbaston, New Zealand is on the verge of winning the test match and in process, their third Test series in England. The first Test of the two-match series ended in a draw at Lord's in London.

New Zealand’s experienced batsman Ross Taylor made valuable 80 runs that got the visitors an 85-run lead in the first innings. After batsmen, bowlers did their job by reducing the home team to 76-7 in the second innings and eventually 122-9 at stumps.

Thus, with just a 37-run lead in the second innings and just one wicket to go, Taylor feels New Zealand side should go professionally about it on Day 4.

You want to be professional in the way you go about it. The batters out there can score runs and if they can get a decent lead, then obviously they can get their tails up, and you never know what happens,” the 37-year-old told the reporters.

Whatever we do, we need to do it well tomorrow and get that one wicket then go about the chase in a professional manner,” he added.

While New Zealand is on the brink of becoming the series victors in England like their 1986 and 1999 predecessors, the right-hand batsman revealed that the team is not thinking too much about it and that there is not much talk about it in the dressing room as well.

There hasn't been much talk in the dressing room. I think we were just happy with the way we bowled in that last session and how we stuck at it. To put a very good England side under pressure for long periods of time and to get the rewards was what was satisfying from our point of view,” Taylor signed off.
