Shakib lost his cool at the umpire twice in the space of two overs during a DPL match on Friday.
Playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club against Abahani Limited, Shakib lost his cool at the umpire twice in the space of two overs.
He once kicked the stumps after an LBW appeal was turned down and then protested against the umpire’s decision to call off play due to rain by uprooting the stumps, smashing them on the ground.

''We have not got any official letter so far but we have learnt that the umpires committee have recommended four-match ban,'' Masuduzzaman, Mohammedan Sporting Club cricket committee chairman, told Cricbuzz.
''We will appeal to the board and ask them that they must dig the matter and see why Shakib was prompted to take such a step. Naturally, it was not acceptable but at the same time we have to find out why it happened,'' he further said.
As soon as Shakib's on-field antics went viral on social media, he issued an apology, calling it a “human error”.
"I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home. An experienced player like me should not have reacted that way but sometimes against all odds it happens, unfortunately," Shakib tendered an official apology on his Facebook page.
"I apologise to the teams, management, tournament officials, and organizing committee for this human error. Hopefully, I won't be repeating this again in the future. Thanks and love you all," he further wrote.
Over the last two years, Shakib Al Hasan has been time and again in the news for all the wrong reasons. He was banned from all cricket for a year in 2019 for failing to report multiple corrupt approaches from bookies.
