The last time the Netherlands qualified for the Cricket World Cup was in 2011.
Netherlands batsman Maxwell O’Dowd has expressed his displeasure over ICC’s rule of allowing only 10 teams to play the Cricket World Cup.
Until 2015, associate nations were allowed to feature in the World Cup however, in 2019 ICC brought the fresh rules that only 10 teams will qualify for the 50-over World Cup.
The last time the Netherlands qualified for the Cricket World Cup was in 2011, where they played six matches and lost all.

In a recent incident, ESPNCricinfo took to their official Twitter account and asked the question that read, “What’s the most heartbreaking moment you’ve experienced as a cricket fan?”
Replying to which, Dutch batsman Maxwell O’Dowd expressed his disappointment and said
“Creating a 10 team World Cup….” Maxwell O’Dowd replied.
Many netizens also agreed with O'Dowd's comments and echoed the same sentiment.
