Krishan was one of the four KKR players to contract COVID-19 during the now-suspended IPL 2021.
Right-arm pacer Prasidh Krishna, who has been picked for India’s tour of England as a standby player, has recovered from COVID-19 and will leave for Mumbai from Bengaluru on May 23.
Krishan was one of the four Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players to contract the deadly virus during the now-suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
"He has recovered from Covid-19, is in Bengaluru at the moment at his home and will be leaving for Mumbai on May 23," a source tracking the development told IANS.
Besides Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy, Sandeep Warrier and Tim Seifert were the other KKR players to test positive for COVID-19. The other two Indian players have also recovered while Seifert returned home to New Zealand after being tested negative.
Earlier this year, Prasidh Krishna made his international debut during the ODI series against England at home. He claimed six wickets in three games as India clinched the ODI series 2-1.
Team India are expected to depart for England in the first week of June, after serving a stern two-week quarantine in Mumbai.
The Virat Kohli-led side will play the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in Southampton from June 18-22 followed by a five-match Test series versus England in Nottingham, London, Leeds and Manchester between August 4 and September 14.
